From Biker Babe to Grandma

I did say I love being a Grandma. And on this day I get to have my two Grandkids meet each other for the first time. Such a wonderful moment. Kalen 6.5 and Gracelyn 4 months. What angels they are to me.

We get them to work :)

It only took two days, but that Rose is so handy and she gets the bluetooths to work on all 3 helmets at one time! We are set for the trip. 29 hours and counting. Do you think we will talk too much? yeah, maybe, after all, it is our first trip to Florida.

Sunshine State Here we come!

Rose and I are trying out our rain suits for my first really long trip. (Longer than one day of driving.) I'm packed, bike is ready and I am not sure how to feel. I am a girlscout at heart. "Prepared for the worst, Hoping for the best, and will take what ever comes".  I am so glad that Dru had this crazy idea. I love to ride, but I also hope the hotels have hot tubs at the end of the day. I will keep you posted.

A REAL BIKER BABE

Better Cardinal

First tattoo
After learning how to ride a motorcycle and becoming an avid rider, my husband Alan jokingly said, "Now all you need is a tattoo". Well little did he know but it has always been in the back of my mind and more recently put on my "bucket list" along with learning to ride a motorcycle. And so it is... I have picked out a cardinal, as it is my favorite bird and holds sentimental meaning for me. I went to Nadine at "Atattooed" and she drew one up for me. http://atattooedtattoo.com/Atattooed/Welcome.html I was surprised it did not hurt more. It is still very fresh and will change over the next three weeks. I'll keep you posted on how it is doing.
Next......skydiving?

bainbridge

On October 12th as the Ohio leaves are starting to turn we venture out to see Bainbridge. The following weekend is to be the fall leaf festival. We take a nice leisurely ride, lead by none other than Rose. She is the best with her GPS. Dru and I gladly follow as we enjoy the lovely colors. Many back rodes, tree lined, and through a state park. it smells like Autumn in the air.

Trip to Yellow Springs with BSLR

Today Rose and I took our practiced trip to the group to see how they would like it. On a Tuesday we had 8 people show-up. I could not believe it. But considering it was a beautiful HOT Sept. day, that had to of helped. Rose lead us out and I took us home. Quaint restaurant, shops and to top it all off, Youngs Dairy on the way home. The Buckeye State Lady Riders are growing. Nice new friends. Glad I have them to ride with.

Getting Started

Well, this ought to be interesting. I think I might give this a shot. Not sure what I'll post, perhaps bike rides mostly, then maybe some grandchildren stories, then vacation updates. Who knows the possibilites are endless as all you Bloggers know. And if it is too time consuming this might be my last. Wish me luck.
